Exhibition: "Generations. Hastings Fishing Families. Photographs by John Cole" will be at Stade Hall. until 14th November, 11-4 daily.

All proceeds from sales of photographs goes to Hastings Fishermen's Protection Society.

New Book available at the History House - £14.99

Muriel Matters was a South Australian actress who moved to London in 1905 and became a pivotal figure in the suffragette movement. Matters made a remarkable contribution to the fight for women's right to vote but her story is surprisingly little-known by most Australians. Just to remind you or let you know that Sunday 13th October at 11 am Dr Owen Johnson will lead a tree walk in Hastings Cemetery.  We meet by the car park.

Owen is the author of the Sussex Tree Book and is our local expert on all things aboricultural.
